The University of Connecticut Dressage Team
Our Mission Statement
The UConn Dressage Team is a club sports team dedicated to providing opportunities for students to further their skills in the discipline of Dressage, as well as promoting learning and growth in the equestrian community. Our team consists of hard-working and driven riders with varying levels of experience. We pride ourselves on being a tight-knit community of passionate riders working to better themselves in this sport. We compete regionally in the Intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA) Region A/B, hosting and traveling to shows throughout New England. We have consistently sent students to IDA Nationals, with competitors placing in the top of their classes.

The UConn Dressage Team Spring 2026 schedule is now posted! We start off our season with our home show on February 21st, where we encourage all friends, family, and supporters to come join us!
Our Spring Tryouts are up and coming! We encourage all who are interested to complete the tryout checklist before 1/18 11:59PM and attend tryouts on January 19th @ 2PM. All of the steps can be found in more detail on our LinkTree. We can’t wait to see everyone back for the spring semester!

Our Munson’s chocolate fundraiser is back in time for the holidays! If you’re interested in some UConn chocolate, we encourage family and friends to reach out to our team members, and everyone is always welcome to DM us!! Great stocking stuffer ideas or cozy snacks during winter break!

We would like to give thanks to every single person who has supported and helped the UCDT this year! We have so much to be grateful for, from the hardworking members who make up our team, our amazing horses and program, to our wonderful staff and mentors, and all the people in between who has helped us flourish as a team.
Thank you to our wonderful coach Melissa Tindall and extraordinary advisor Dr. Reed, we couldn’t be where we are now without your dedication, guidance, and commitment to the team and it’s members!
A thank you to our saddle fitter Jamie Carleton, who has been a tremendous help in ensuring our horses comfort under saddle and teaching our E-Board fitting techniques!
A big thank you to Stella DiBernardo, who has collaborated with our team and given us beautiful photos to share with our family, supporters, and friends.
And finally a thank you to all of those who we may not have mentioned, but have noticed and appreciated from your contributions to the team. Without every single one of our donators, supports, staff, and team members, the UCDT wouldn’t be what it is today. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
The UCDT has officially ended the Fall 2025 season with our last show at Mount Holyoke College! Despite this past weekend being quite competitive and our results, we are immensely proud of our riders who gave it their all in the ring and performed lovely tests. We will take these results and use them as motivation to propel us into our spring season, where we will be back better than ever!
Thank you to MHC for hosting our last show, and we look forward to seeing all of our regional schools in the spring semester!

UDCT Team, Individual, and DSE results are out! We are so proud to host this last weekend and had the opportunity to show off the horses that make our amazing program here at UConn. Thank you to all our friends, family, and visitors who came to cheer us on, we appreciate all your support!!
We can’t wait to host another successful show in the fall, but in the meantime, we will finish off our fall season with an away show at MHC this upcoming Sunday!

Coming back from UNH over the weekend with a 5th place as a team. For an extremely competitive show day where every team brought their A Game, we are proud of our girls who had lovely rides!
