The University of Connecticut Dressage Team
Our Mission Statement
The UConn Dressage Team is a club sports team dedicated to providing opportunities for students to further their skills in the discipline of Dressage, as well as promoting learning and growth in the equestrian community. Our team consists of hard-working and driven riders with varying levels of experience. We pride ourselves on being a tight-knit community of passionate riders working to better themselves in this sport. We compete regionally in the Intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA) Region A/B, hosting and traveling to shows throughout New England. We have consistently sent students to IDA Nationals, with competitors placing in the top of their classes.

Our Lead Line Fundraiser class couldn’t have been more successful! We had a great turnout, and some competitive fun! Thank you to all of our volunteers who participated and donated to help support our team, you are a part of our success!

After an eventful weekend, we are very proud to announce our Home Show results! The UCDT came in 4th place as a team, starting our season strong with some incredible rides!
We want to give a special shoutout to Juliette Savignac for winning the High Point ride of the day, with an outstanding score of 72.222% 🏆 Congrats Juliette!!

Our Home Show Lead Line fundraiser is now open for sign ups! We invite friends, family, significant others, and more to join the UCDT for our lead line event, where participants will have the chance to ride one of our UConn horses and get to ride in a fun class and compete against others! This is open to everyone, no experience necessary, and a great way to experience our program first hand!

We would like to give thanks to every single person who has supported and helped the UCDT this year! We have so much to be grateful for, from the hardworking members who make up our team, our amazing horses and program, to our wonderful staff and mentors, and all the people in between who has helped us flourish as a team.
Thank you to our wonderful coach Melissa Tindall and extraordinary advisor Dr. Reed, we couldn’t be where we are now without your dedication, guidance, and commitment to the team and it’s members!
A thank you to our saddle fitter Jamie Carleton, who has been a tremendous help in ensuring our horses comfort under saddle and teaching our E-Board fitting techniques!
A big thank you to Stella DiBernardo, who has collaborated with our team and given us beautiful photos to share with our family, supporters, and friends.
